Jenny started her career in a solicitors’ practice in 1996, and for many years represented parents under legal aid in Children Act matters. This was followed by several years as a legal officer working for the Local Authority, representing Social Services in public and private Children Act proceedings.

When the Data Protection Act was brought in, it intrinsically linked with Children Act matters, so she has been involved with data protection since 1998.

After a brief career break founding an award-winning HR consultancy in London where she led the research team for 3 years and completed her MA in Education, she found that she missed working in the legal sector and came back to it, advising schools regarding data protection, GDPR, complaints and exclusions.
